Question about Lazerus!

You know when Lazerus died, the people
were sad, and Jesus came and brought him back
from the dead, right? well, while he was dead
before Jesus healed him, did he see heaven or was
he in heaven and was then brought back to earth?
this might be a dumb question, but im curious!

Hi, JesusRawks4Eva,
That is a good question. The account of the story of Lazarus' resurrection in John 11 and 12 doesn't cover the answer to your question. Most Christians you talk to will say yes, he did; but some may say that Lazarus would have had no perception of the time between the time of his death and the time he was raised. I'm actually siding with the latter*.
I may revisit this question with some more information, but right now, I can't really give you a definitive answer except to say that two things we really need to get out of this story are that Jesus had the power to raise people from the dead, after several days even (modern medicine still can't do that!), and that Lazarus eventually died permanently (whether from natural causes, old age, or murder - the Pharisees plot to kill him in John 12 - we don't know) and that his final destination is Heaven, because he was a follower of Jesus Christ.
*This is based on personal interpretation, without specific references to back me up.
